We’ve asked some of our favorite people to be part of our wedding party and to help make our day go without a hitch (well, maybe one big hitch). Here’s a little bit about each of them. If you don’t know them, be sure to say hello!

Maid of Honor: Eryn Kaiser Barker

Eryn is Ailey’s older sister. She is an epic outdoorswoman who loves cycling, skiing (telemarking – snooty!), rock climbing, and camping. She also has a little something known as a job. Eryn is a Spanish immersion teacher at a middle school in Portland because, oh yeah, she’s fluent in Spanish, too.

Bridesmaid: Marissa Ng Kaiser

Marissa is lucky enough to be Ailey’s sister-in-law. She is also a connoisseur of dim sum and an excellent and generous baker. Marissa loves the outdoors, especially skiing and sailing. A little known secret: she looks excellent as a pineapple.

Best Man: Martin Hughes

 Martin is Ritchie’s middle brother, who’s flying in from the bitchin’ town of Hitchin for the ceremony. Martin is husband to Deborah and father of Tilly, the flower girl who will probably handle her beer better than him on the big day.

Groomsman: Brett Samblanet

 Ritchie has been friends with Brett since his early days in Seattle. Brett is a wonderfully creative chap, seen here demostrating his patented “beer preserver”. He’s also managed to create a child of his own, little Baby S, who is due to arrive just a week before our wedding. Let’s hope he can stay awake.

Flower Girl: Tilly Hughes

Ring Bearer/Gratuitously Cute Baby: Hazel Barker
